CAFOD has many stories of success and can be proud of it’s long history. However, none of this would be possible without dedicated volunteers. None more so than in the North Wales, where Sr Vianney Connolly has been quietly, and dedicatedly volunteering in the CAFOD office for the last 25 years.
Sr Vianney has done it all, from organising buses from North Wales for CAFOD campaigns, waving the Welsh flag on marches, campaigning, fundraising and much more. Despite never visiting any of the projects, (when invited to go, she offered her places to someone so that they could have an overseas experience with CAFOD), she has never wavered in her determination to support and share CAFOD’s vision for a more just world.
When asked to describe Sr Vianney, a young volunteer described her as “A lady filled with love”, another person said she is: “Someone who has friends in every corner of the world”.
Sr Vianney descibes CAFOD as ‘a conspiracy of love’, and it is that same love that Sr Vianney has shown to CAFOD over these 25 years.
Thank you Sr Vianney for all these years of service to CAFOD.
