Volunteer with CAFOD

school vols training

At the start of this month I attended a CAFOD Education Volunteers training day in Liverpool, joining with volunteers from Salford, Preston and Liverpool. Having been working with CAFOD for six months now as Diocesan Officer for North Wales I was keen to attend a training session, so when Ann Wilson, the Education Volunteers Coordinator, invited me along I was happy to do so. We spent the morning looking at icebreakers, various materials from posters and games to PowerPoints for Education Volunteers to use in schools in their local areas. At the end of a very productive and successful day we all left armed with CAFOD resources, and full of inspiration and ideas to take back to our own local schools.

If you would like to become one of our Education Volunteers please contact us either by phone (01978 355 084), email (northwales@cafod.org.uk) or pop in to the office for a chat (Peace and Justice Centre, 37 Kingsmills Road, Wrexham, LL13 8NH).

But, its not just Education Volunteers that we need, so have a look at other volunteering opportunities here: Volunteer with CAFOD
