We hope that you had a lovely Christmas and New Year, and are now ready for 2014. Katja, Sr Vianney and myself are now back in the office, and looking forward to all the upcoming CAFOD events.
Here are a couple of dates for your diary:
- Thursday, 27 February 2014 – Great Generation Day.
We will be holding a Great Generation Day in the CAFOD North Wales office. This is open to anyone aged 14 and older, where they will learn more about CAFOD’s work, and how they can get involved here in North Wales.
- Friday, 14 March 2014 – Lent Fast Day.
We will be asking people to speak at Mass and to distribute envelopes on the weekend
of 8 and 9 March, with the retiring collection for CAFOD taking place the weekend of 15 and 16 March.
- Saturday, 10 May 2014 – ‘Pantasaph Day’, our Annual Supporters’ event.
By now ‘Pantasaph Day’ needs no introductions. At our annual supporters’ day we invite you to listen to a guest speaker from CAFOD speak about our work overseas, join in with stations of the cross and lots more.
We will give you reminders of these events, and all other events we have planned for the year. So why not give yourself a new year’s resolution to tell a friend about CAFOD, and invite them along to one of these events.
And as always, should you like to organise an event, run in a marathon or similar race, or volunteer with us, then please do contact the North Wales office. Or if you know of any young people who would like to do a work placement then please tell them to call us for a chat.
Hope to see you all soon,
Diocesan Officer for North Wales.
