Growing Success in Mold!

CAFOD Supporters at plant sale in Mold

St David’s Parish in Mold has seen Tina and John Harradine pull out all the stops and put on a CAFOD plant sale once again. Over three weekends they raised nearly £400.

The plant sale is an annual event at St David’s and is often accompanied by fruits from CAFOD Parish Volunteer, Joyce’s garden, or free refreshments to invite parishioners to hear about current campaigns and sign petitions, or raise awareness about other new developments.

A photo of John in his green house is featured in the Live simply Parish pack.  Becoming a live simply parish is a great way of combating climate change and caring for our common home as Pope Francis so eloquently asks us to do in his encyclical Laudato si.

This plant sale is a fantastic example of how to involve parishioners, care for the environment while at the same time the wellbeing of people.

Thank you so much to Tina and John, Joyce and all the great supporters of Mold Parish.

St David is often quoted to remind us to “do the little things, and do them right”.  You truly to make a huge difference in the world, home and far away.

Diolch yn fawr!
